Final Friday Poetry Open Mic at Landmark Books.  This month’s theme is ‘Work’.  The public is invited to read poems on this theme, they can be originals or a poem on the subject by a favorite writer.  The event begins at 6:00 pm, it is free and family friendly.  We encourage young writers to give it a try.  We are located inside the old Traverse State Hospital.  For details call 231-922-7225.

Poetry Slam!  Come to Cuppa Joe at 1200 W 11^th St inside the old Traverse State Hospital for an epic poetry battle beginning at 7:00 pm.  Local poets can sign up at the event and the audience is encouraged to participate as well.  Landmark Books is proud to pair with our friends at Cuppa Joe to bring this event to you so come out and support local poetry.   For more info please call 231-922-7225.

 

June 21^st, 2014

Landmark Books Type-In.  Come down to Landmark Books and display your typewriters!  This is a hands-on event where you will have an opportunity to type on a real typewriter.  There will be displays and the public is encouraged to bring their machines to display, sell or trade.  The event begins at Noon so come down and Unplug and Type-In.  We are located inside the old Traverse State Hospital.  For details call 231-922-7225.

Broadside Release Party! Come to Landmark Books inside the old Traverse State Hospital and celebrate the release of a new broadside from Squirrel Cane Press. It will feature a poem by award winning author Michael Delp. There will be copies for sale and a short reading will follow. The festivities will begin at 6:00pm. For details call 231-922-7225.
