Landmark Books is Traverse City’s premier used bookstore. We specialize in classic literature, poetry, modern fiction and Michigania. We also carry a large selection of autographed copies and out-of-print books. If we don’t have it we will be happy to locate it for you. We also offer appraisal services at reasonable rates. If you need help building your dream library, we can help with that as well. We also sell and repair vintage manual typewriters. We also sell ribbons and can clean your typewriter. We specialize in fine first edition books and autographed copies and carry a large selection of fiction, mystery, literature and Michigania. The store moved a year ago, but we have been selling books since the early 90’s and have a huge selection. If you don’t see it on the shelf, doesn’t mean we may not have it at home. We are happy to set up private viewings outside normal hours for collectors with specific requests.
The store is owned by Paul Stebleton, a book collector and published author who began collecting books in college. Stebleton is a Hopwood award and Gwendolyn Brooks award winner. His first book of poems, “Bus Station Meditations” was published in 1992, and you can find his works in poetry journals across the country. The bookstore had always been his dream.
