Salon Verve in an organic salon on Bay Street, east of the Elk’s Club. The first thing you’ll notice when you walk in is that we don’t smell like a salon. Our hair color is ammonia free from Organic Salon Systems. The color processing routine is a bit different, but we can achieve most any result you can dream up. Its healthier for you, healthier for us (who breathe it all day) and healthier for the environment as it gets rinsed down the drain into our water systems. We carry hair, skin and makeup products which all have to meet our strict standards for safe ingredients, and we only carry product lines who have eco-friendly business practices. We serve locally roasted, organic and fair-trade coffee from Higher Grounds. We recycle everything possible and we use Bay Area Recycling for Charities (BARC) to haul away our recycling.
Salon Verve has been voted “Best Salon in Traverse City” 9 times in the 7 years we’ve been open! We even were named one of the top 200 salons in the whole country by Salon Today Magazine in 2014! Our stylist Heather Choate has been voted “Best Stylist in Traverse City” twice! In fact, in the 2014 “Red Hot Best of Northern Michigan” contest from Traverse Magazine, Salon Verve stylists grabbed 6 of the top 10 spots! Come see The New Look Of Organic.
